Meals delivered to your door: For the past three weeks the Hintlesham George pub has offered their small plates menu to Sproughton residents over 70. They cost either £5,00 or £6,00 and are individually plated and delivered to the community shop at about 12.00pm. From there volunteers deliver them to customer's individual doorsteps, ring the doorbell and collect the money, which has been left on the doorstep. For Wednesday 29th April the choices are beef stew, with dumpling, mashed potato and vegetables for £5.00, or salmon fillet with parsley sauce, mashed potato and vegetables for £6.00. The choices are changed weekly, and there is a vegetarian option, such as macaroni cheese. If anyone has questions or would like to order a meal please contact Pat Coe on 01473 745154 by 12.00pm each Monday. The George also has a take-away menu for anyone to use, which is displayed on their website, www.ghfood.co.uk

Sproughton Volunteers: A group of Village Volunteers has been created by members of the community to support our residents. Fliers were posted throughout the village in March offering help and who to contact. If you have lost that and need help with shopping, prescriptions, mail, dog walking or would just like a chat please contact either Iain & Jean on 01473-742209 / 07910-263883, Jenni on 07814-891533 or Jill on 07754-531339. This group is registered with BMSDC & SCC plus other organisations co-ordinating voluntary group activities.

The Community Shop can also be contacted on 01473-747768 and is supporting the self-isolating and vulnerable in the community with deliveries.

Beryl Lansdown, Mobile 07801187636, has started a WhatsApp help group for people self isolating in the Collinsons area. Please contact Beryl for more info

Other Volunteers: If you are offering any assistance to those who need it and would like to publicise this on the Parish website  please let us know on SproughtonPC@gmail.com.
